Listen to Me

Listen to Me
Photobucket

This demonstrates quite clearly that I have absolutely no knowledge of how lighting or colors work and the watermark doesn't make it any less confusing to look at, sorry about that.

I dunno the story behind this picture, feel free to make one up.

Skyward Sword Flash stuff

I was bored.

Skyward Sword with gradients

Photobucket
I love Flash so much that sometimes I draw pictures specifically to see how much I can do with it by only using Flash.

This time I drew Link and Zelda from the upcoming Skyward Sword (based more on the in-game visuals than the official art). After sketching in SketchBook Pro, the rest of this was done solely in Flash using gradients to color. It mostly ended up looking as stupid as it sounded.

I also drew a regular version, as well as some various experiments about how to color it.

Some unfinished music

Yeah I haven't been drawing like I should lately.
So here is stuff I've been procrastinating with instead.

Metal Man (unfinished)
Metal Man from MegaMan 2.
For fun, I did all of this so far off the top of my head with no reference.

Quick Man (unfinished)

Quick Man from MegaMan 2.
For fun, I did all of this so far off the top of my head with no reference.

Atop the Fourth Wall Jazz
A sort of jazzy ridiculous version of the theme song from Atop the Fourth Wall, a video series on That Guy with the Glasses
that reviews comics. Sorry, lousy brass, that's what you get for free.

To Cerulean City (unfinished)
The route that leads to Cerulean City in the original Pokemon games.
This is the most nostalgic video game song of all time for me (even though Blue was far from my first game).

Miscellaneous doodles

Miscellaneous Game Doodles 03

More random game characters.
Clockwise from the top-left we have Wander from Shadow of the Colossus, Rayman, Waluigi, Klonoa, Sami from Advance Wars, Jeff from EarthBound firing a bazooka, Inspector Chelmey from Professor Layton, and Link.

SBP Doodles 08

Just doodles off the top of my head.
I don't have much to say about these except that they're kinda really ugly.

Holly with a Shovel and a colored Link

Holly with a Shovel

A picture of Holly/Gold/Goldwright/whatever-the-hell-else-she's-known-as because she is awesome. <3
I was up late playing Minecraft last night. I'll color this at some point.

I also really quickly messed with one of my Link doodles in Photoshop (for once)!

Not much to see, I'm not adding it to my drawings list or anything.

Link doodle and Woodring Glade

A couple miscellaneous stuff.

Link Doodles

I'm trying something a little new here.
I've been gradually shifting towards drawing rounder features (such as eyes and noses) for a long time now, so I tried going a little more all-out with it here (particularly the eyes and face shape). It's kind of hit-and-miss but I'll try practicing it.
For a bit of reference of how I drew Link's face previously, there's this comic.

Made using: SketchBook Pro and a tablet.

 Paper Zelda-- Woodring Glade
The opening forest area where Link lives in my paper Zelda fan game. I don't really think I successfully captured the atmosphere of either Paper Mario or Zelda, but oh well.

Drawings page

I added the aforementioned drawings page (what a pain it was to do so with all that crap).
The lists are sorted into two categories (doodles and... slightly-better-than-doodles), and they're sorted from newest (at the top) to oldest. I'll be gradually adding some older stuff to the bottom too, since even my deviantArt account has some older stuff than this. It'll take a while but from now on hopefully I'll update the drawings and music as they come.

Finally use this blog for something.

Added a music section

Look at me, pretending I have an audience.

Anyway, I added a section for the music I sometimes make. I'm lousy at music and have absolutely no technical knowledge of it, but whatever. I often just do it for the fun of it and try to recreate/reimagine existing songs, usually from video games, by ear using FL Studio, but I also often do original music for my own personal projects (like animations or games). Those are less likely to show up here until I get said projects finished, though.

You can listen to the music either using the embedded widget from Box.net or the individual links in the nifty shrinkable spoiler tags if the widget doesn't work for you or is otherwise inconvenient.

I may start doing something similar to drawings and other doodles I have, slowly adding some to a page of their own.
Maybe it's time I put this blog to actual use.

Oh, and that Wind Waker comic... yeah, I dunno. I'll do more but who knows when.

TAoH: The Aerobaton-- 003: Follow Your Nose

003: Follow Your Nose

The third Aerobaton comic. Done really fast (if you can't tell by looking at the backgrounds).

I'm still looking for ideas on how to pretty up the format (how to display the logos and text around the comic better to distract less).

Made using: Flash and a tablet.
